Since 2001 FREEMED has assisted more than 2300 low-income uninsured
individuals apply for and reorder prescription medication for low or
no-cost from pharmaceutical manufacturer's patient assistance programs
There are 475 programs offering more than 2500 drugs. Each program has its own requirements and application forms.
FREEMED assists with enrollment in the Medicare Prescription Drug Program and Social Security Low-Income Subsidies which can reduce Medicare Part-D costs by as much as 85%.
FREEMED is uniquely situated to further assist Medicare recipients to avoid the coverage gap by combining Patient Assistance with Medicare Part-D.
Our 17 volunteers and 4 paid part-time staff have the resources to
understand, to stay abreast, and to effectively handle the whole of
these moderately complex tasks.
